Who can apply?

 

  • Participants should be between 16 and 29 years old.
  • It is possible to apply as a team of maximum 4 people. If the group wins a prize, they should pick one representative who will join the festivals where the videos will be presented.
  • All nationalities are eligible to apply.
 

How to apply?

 

  • Fill the Application Form from here.
  • After filling the Application form you will receive an e-mail with a hyperlink and personal ID for the project.
  • Click on the link in order to upload your video. You will be asked to use your ID for uploading.
  • Compress your video file to a standard “ .ZIP “
  • Print, fill and scan the Confirmation form from here. All participants in the video should sign it.
  • Upload the Confirmation form together with your ready and compressed video.
  • Wait for the results
 

What is the deadline for sending videos?

 

19.05.2016 23:59 is the deadline for sending videos.

 

How long shall the video and what are the technical details?

 

  • Duration of the video: 4 to 6 minutes
  • Format: Videos WebM, MPEG4, 3GPP, MOV, AVI, MPEGPS in wmv or flv.
  • Resolution: All videos must be 25 fps in European TV standards
  • SD: PAL 720 x 576 / 25p
  • HD: PAL 1280 x 720 / 25p or PAL 1920 x 1080 / 25p
  • You can include quick interview with the refugee, but the video should not content only interview/talk with him/her/them.
  • Title and filename of the video: The filename should be the same as the title of the video. It should not include special characters (like *,/,!,?,?,ç,ı,ö,ü,ş etc.) and spaces. You can use only letters, numbers and _ for dividing the words. Inappropriate words or images with videos, offensive or objectionable material will not be accepted.
  • The participant should not use copyrighted music or brands. It is not allowed for the participant to show or upload her/his video anywhere on the web before the end of the contest. (ex. YouTube or another social network)
